Hoodlum

I am so happy with the purchase of my Enlightened Equipment Hoodlum to go along with my EE Revelation quilt. My daughter and I went camping for a week in mid-April at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park on the north shore of Minnesota. Needless to say, it was cold! I already had an EE quilt and thought the Hoodlum would be a great companion piece. It was. It is far better then anything else I have used for my head during cold weather camping. It stays in place, is very lightweight and comfortable. It is adjustable with neck snaps and shock cord. I was even able to pull the brim down when needed to cover most of my face. It got down as low as 22 degrees at night and my head and neck were never cold. I even embrace and take pride in the funky look of it. It is so cool that I was able to get it in the same colors as my quilt. I also like the fact that it is made in the USA, Winona, MN to be exact. I live about 30 minutes away in La Crescent, MN so it makes me feel good to support a local company. Back in 2019 when I purchased a quilt from EE, I just showed up unannounced at their factory\office one day and they were kind enough to give me a tour of their operation. It was most impressive and the people were very gracious. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of this company and their products and would highly recommend them to anybody!

Warm bald head

This is the BEST addition to my camping sleep experience. While sleeping in cold climates my bald head gets cold. I use to wear a beanie, but it would fall off or simply not keep my head warm. This thing is amazing. Warm, freedom to move around, comfortable. It’s worth the wait!
