Great for motorcycle camping
I took my 30 degree long/wide revelation motorcycle camping last weekend to Manchester State Park, near Point Arena, CA. It was right on the coast and quite chilly, probably mid to low forties with 25 mph winds. I slept very comfortably with my quilt and my Thermorest pad. Space is a real commodity on a motorcycle trip, and I appreciate how compact-able the quilt is. I bought and extra small compression sack and got the bag down to 5.5"X7". And, at under $300, it's hard to beat the value!
End of your search for perfection
I’ve had other sleep systems but EE makes this like they’ve seen all the flaws that exist on the market and fixed them. The vertical baffles keep your down from migrating to the sides of your bag while you sleep. It’s draw strings and snaps keep it tucked around you keeping the draft out. I’ve had other quilts rated lower than this one and I’ve never been as warm as I am when I button this up. The raiting is true it’s 30 degree is comfort for me not it’s lowest possible limit. The dry down is so water resistant when a bad storm flooded the camp site and our tent floor had water running under it and soaking through, my quilt was still nearly all dry and it took no time for it to dry out the next morning. If you could only buy one sleep system for 3 season adventure this is the one you want.
