I love this wind shirt. I'm 5'7", fairly broad shouldered, 130 lbs. and a women's medium fits perfectly over one, two or three layers (third being either an EE Torrid Vest or jacket). I find myself grabbing it as a light wind layer on most hikes rather than a heavier shirt or jacket. Live in a fairly windy part of NM so use it a lot. Weightless but effective. Stuffs quickly into a fanny pack or jacket pocket. Added a thin cord pull to the zipper so I could find it with gloves on. Otherwise, the quick-tightening pull around the bottom and the elastic wrists work brilliantly and keep this jacket lighter than feathers. The older I get, the lighter I want my gear so I can still head into the hills for a few nights. Hope to use this in the windy, high reaches of Scotland's Cairngorms once international travel is possible again. Highly recommend.

Copperfield Wind Shirt (Women's)

An ultralight backpacker and nature enthusiast, I research and pick my 'must have' pieces very carefully. If done right, my pieces work well together and on their own. The Copperfield Wind Shirt meets my needs and is a staple in my pack when every ounce counts.

I'm 5'4" with a 33" waist and 40" bust. My torso is of average length as are my arms. I went with the women's large to allow room for a puffy jacket beneath the Copperfield Wind Shirt. This system works very well with room to spare. The hood is easy to snug down comfortably over my winter hat or puffy hood. The sleeves are just long enough to pull over the outside of my gloves to offer wind protection and more efficiency of my gloves. Without the puffy on beneath the size large of this wind shirt, the jacket is very roomy to the point of likely being comfortable in a size medium. This said, I prefer a roomier fit and am happy I went with the large.

The Copperfield Wind Shirt is so light it can easily be crumpled up to fit in your jacket pocket or outside pack pocket. There are no frills to this jacket - no pockets or cuff openings that can be cinched down. If you're looking for such luxuries, this isn't your wind shirt. If you're looking for perfect, ultralight performance, you really should have the Copperfield Wind Shirt. I wouldn't go backpacking without it.
