Quilt or sleeping bag? With the Convert, you get to decide every single night. The Convert features a full-length zipper and an adjustable footbox with a shock cord that can be completely closed, completely open like a blanket, and everything in between, allowing you to dial it in for a comfortable night’s sleep no matter where you are. You can also zip one Convert to another Convert to create a large sleeping bag for one or two.

Even with the full coverage the Convert offers, it still weighs less than most sleeping bags on the market thanks to our ultralight materials and no-fuss design.

Important Note: Custom orders cannot be changed once they are in production. Returned custom orders (or custom orders cancelled after production has started) will incur a 20% restocking fee. No exceptions.

Convert Custom - 10° Xtra Wide

I bought a Convert custom bag in 2016 for a couple of trips my wife and I had planned. I didn't want her to have to carry a bag, so I decided to give the quilt option a try. It worked out perfectly! We were able to still zip the foot box and fit our Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Xtherm pads and have plenty of cover. I have continued to use the Convert as my personal bag for trips I take to the high country. During these trips I noticed I was having some down shifting going on and was beginning to have to shake the quilt around to eliminate cold spots. While ordering a bag for my daughter I discovered from a very competent Enlightened customer care consultant, Dan, that I could send my bag in for a down refresh. For a very reasonable price Enlightened will add 30% more down, which they have implemented into their new bag orders as well, and refresh your bag. I won't be using my bag until two high country trips in late July and August, where temps drop to the mid 20s, but I can tell that my bag is much more robust and the cold spots will be no more. I have to give Enlightened credit for stepping and realizing they could make their already awesome bags even better. I'm a big fan of Enlightened and their bags...great people! My family now has five of their bags total.

Zero Degree L x XW

This is my 4th Convert. Normally I use a L x W but with the Zero degree bag I went XW and glad I did. I know you all add an extra 30% fill on bags now but I wasn't ready for this much loft. I'm 6 ft./185lbs. and If I wear a 15oz. hooded puffy to bed, there isn't much air space left. The coldest I have used it is 12 degrees and I have no doubt it will get me to zero. I use my Converts 365 nights a year whether I'm at home, cabin, backpacking or even in a motel (hate those motel covers). Between bag/quilt/blanket/double modes, this is the most comfortable and versatile bag I have ever owned.
