The Enigma is our lightest and most minimalist quilt. Pairing the beloved quilt template of our Revelation Quilt with a completely sewn-closed footbox, it's the perfect ultralight quilt for those who always get cold feet. Exceptionally warm as well as extraordinarily light, the Enigma offers upper body freedom of movement, while providing structure for your feet. The Enigma doesn't have a zipper or a built in hood, saving even more space and weight in your pack.

The Enigma is a quilt, not a sleeping bag, which means it's designed to be used with a sleeping pad to provide insulation underneath you, between you and the ground.

My only regret is waiting so long

I ordered the 10deg quilt in Robin Egg out and Hot Pink int. I finally got to take my new quilt for a car camping test run and it's beyond perfect. I slept so much better being able to change positions without fighting a slippery sleeping bag. I paired it with the Big Agnes Insulated Q-Core SLX and slept at a cozy temperature without having to snap or cinch the top (outdoor conditions were high 40s with rain). It's so lightweight and soft I can't wait to take it backpacking.

Enigma Custom Quilt

My first quilt! I ordered a custom Enigma 10F 950 fill regular/wide quilt with draft collar, in 10D burnt orange/charcoal. I tend to be a warm sleeper but with cold feet. The quilt had its first (and so far only) test during a week long kayaking trip in late August; temperatures were seasonal, with overnight lows at or below 50 F (10 C) and somewhat humid. The quilt was paired with a Xtherm air mattress.

I was warm all night long throughout the trip - in fact, I never even had to cinch the quilt tightly about my upper body. I was able to side sleep and move comfortably (more so than in my mummy bag), and quickly became used to the mattress clips. The quilt appears well made, packs down small and light, and all the snaps/etc. appear well attached. Not having had a quilt before, I can't comment on how well "filled" the quilt is, having nothing similar to compare to, though you can "see through" the bag held up to the sun. Foot box is well built and very cozy! I got the standard 10D material for weight, and it seems fine; time will tell how well the material holds up to use. There was some condensation/dripping on the quilt from the tent/humidity, but that quickly dried once aired out. Overall, a really good first run; I look forward to giving it a try in higher/drier/colder conditions to see how it performs in more challenging situations!
