Men's Torrid Pullover

The Torrid Pullover is our best-selling Torrid Jacket but with a marsupial pouch and a 1/2 length zipper. With weights starting at 6.76 oz (192g), the Torrid Pullover packs an incredible warmth to weight ratio. The CLIMASHIELD™ APEX synthetic insulation keeps you warm even when wet, and the marsupial pouch is great for colds hands, maintaining battery life for electronics, or stashing your snacks! The pouch is insulated on both sides, making the Torrid Pullover a slightly warmer option than the Torrid Jacket. The pouch's high sides ensure that items stored within stay put.  

With an adjustable waistband, adjustable hood, elastic cuffs, and a 1/2 front zipper for ventilation, the Torrid Pullover is slightly oversized to accommodate layers. The smooth ultralight nylon fabric has a durable water repellent finish for better performance in light precipitation.

Fill:

    • 2oz/yd² CLIMASHIELD™ APEX insulation performs better than down in wet and humid conditions, dries quickly, packs small, and is easy to clean.
    • CLIMASHIELD™ APEX weights may vary +/- 10% due to production variances. Read more about our Fills.

Fabric:

    • Mitten palm is constructed with Black 70D ripstop nylon for durability around camp.
    • Ultralight nylon fabric. Available in ether 7D, 10D, or 20D fabric.
    • All Fabrics are PFC Free, and use a C0 DWR.
    • Fabric colors might appear slightly different from images shown. Read more about our Fabrics.

Fit:

    • Sizes run about a half size large for layering purposes.

Features:

    • Marsupial front pouch (insulated on both sides).

No room for layers

It’s a very nice jacket, very warm, but surprisingly tight for an outer layer. Not a lot of room for layers. I’m 5’4” and 117 lbs and nothing is EVER tight on me. I got an XS and it kinda fits perfectly, but a little too perfectly… no room for layers. I wish it was a tad less snug. Length of arms and torso is perfect, wouldn’t want a small it would be too big. An extra inch circumference on the arms and extra 2” for the body would be ideal.

Amazing expedition puff

Holy cow, I love this jacket. I bought it to ride the great divide mountain bike route over the summer of 2024 and have found it perfect for long expeditions and day trips. It's superlight, very comfortable, packs well, and is incredibly warm. I was split between the full zip and pullover, and am happy I went with the pullover. I usually use a puff for morning and night around camp or as a contingency layer if things go sideways. The better warmth to weight of the pullover with front pocket fits this bill well. I'm 6'2", 170 lbs and size M fits well. Some reviews online have knocked the fit and styling, but my girlfriend loves it on me and asks to borrow it even when her puff is in reach, so it definitely passes the vibe check.
