Made with a customized 3-layer waterproof/breathable fabric, it’s fully stormproof, yet has an exceptionally breathable feel. Weighing in at less than an ounce, you’ll barely know it’s in your pack until you need it.

The Visp Rain Mitts come in Unisex sizing, which should be referenced with the sizing guide to find the right size for you. All Mitts come in Azure Blue, and come with Seam Grip to seam seal the stitching. The Visp Rain Mitts do not come seam sealed, and must be finished with the included Seam Grip to become fully waterproof.

For the price, extremely disappointed

The prospect of facing another Boundary Waters canoe trip in frigid, snowy conditions without proper hand protection led my wife to gift me these mitts before Christmas. My excitement was palpable, envisioning warm, dry hands on future adventures. This optimism, however, was regrettably short-lived. The sight of the accompanying seam sealer immediately dampened my spirits, relegating the mitts to my collection of gear that has yet to see use. In their stead, I invested in ZPacks' Vertice Rain Mitts, which, to my satisfaction, arrived perfectly seam-taped and adventure-ready. I strongly urge Enlightened Equipment to consider offering these mitts with a professionally applied seam-taping option, available at a reasonable surcharge of perhaps $5-10. Such an initiative would not only generate additional revenue but, more importantly, would cater to the end-user who values out-of-the-box functionality and prefers to avoid a time-consuming preparation process for what should be a finished product. Compounding my disappointment, the specific pair I received suffers from a clear lapse in quality control: a visible discontinuity in the stitching, where the seamstress evidently deviated from the material edge before correcting the path. This flaw significantly erodes my confidence in Enlightened Equipment's manufacturing standards, bringing my trust in the brand to a nadir. This incident, unfortunately, is not an isolated one in my history with the company. For fellow outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize gear that is impeccably prepared and supported by a company that unequivocally stands behind its craftsmanship, I wholeheartedly recommend ZPacks. My interactions with ZPacks have been exemplary; any rare gear issue was swiftly rectified, and their products consistently arrive from their Florida production facility fully seam-taped and prepared for the rigors of the field. Despite many years and considerable expenditure with Enlightened Equipment, this experience has made it difficult to envision future patronage. In terms of immediate usability and apparent quality assurance, ZPacks currently presents a more professional offering.

beware of the these mitts

I cannot believe that we have to seal these ourselves. For an amateur outdoors person to spend hours sealing these prior to use is insane. Competitive mitts will do the same without all of this work and you will know at the end that they were sealed correctly.
