The Rain Wrap offers ultralight, functional rain coverage and is a great accessory for any hike. The Rain Wrap is made with waterproof 7D Sil/PU Nylon Fabric, which offers durability and weather protection. A shock cord waist allows you to customize the fit, and snaps allow you to vent as needed and give you a full range of movement.

Total game changer for cold morning sleeping-bag exits! Great warmth, and nothing you don't need. Personally, I could use a little more room in the seat, and a more positive cinch at the waist to be absolutely perfect.

These are great for sleeping! They weigh almost nothing, add tons of warmth and are made well. Though, I haven't used them long enough to make any sort of conclusions on their long-term reliability.

Yes. A lightweight jacket, wind layer, or rain jacket helps reduce pack weight, improve packability, and deliver reliable warmth across backpacking trips and day hikes alike.

How do I choose the right insulated jacket? 1

Choose an insulated jacket based on expected cold weather, your activity level, and how it pairs with the other pieces in your layering system, including a base layer and shell layers, along with your sleeping bag and sleeping pad setup for cold nights in camp.

What is the difference between a wind layer and a rain jacket? 1

A wind layer uses breathable fabric to block wind and add sun protection while staying highly breathable and quick-drying, while a rain jacket uses waterproof material to keep you dry in wet weather and heavier precipitation.

Can I customize size and fit? 1

Yes. Most of our Torrid, Outcast, and Copperfield apparel includes different sizes, fabric choices, and color options to improve comfort and dial in your fit on long hikes and multi-day hike outings.

Should I choose down or synthetic insulation in a jacket? 1

Synthetic material performs better in wet conditions and humid environments and is faster drying than down, which is why all of our insulated apparel is built with synthetic insulation for active use and moisture-wicking sweat management that helps regulate body temperature on the trail.
